Stitches and Abbreviations
BO– Bind Off
CO– Cast ON
K– Knit
K2tog– Knit 2 Together
P– Purl
SKP– Slip 1 stitch onto your right needle, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch
YO– Yarn Over
*___* x _- repeat everything within *__* the given number of times

- Needles: US 8/ 5.0 mm
- Yarn: DK Weight-see above for approximate yardage for different scarf lengths. (Pictured is Bernat Softee Baby in Soft Peach, 1 skein)

Other Notes:
Gauge– while gauge is important for size accuracy, for a scarf it is less critical that it match perfectly. Just be aware that minor changes in gauge may alter the amount of yarn required, and alter the length of your scarf!
Check the reference for amount of yarn required for the length of scarf you wish to knit.
You may find that the sides of the scarf want to curl in when you are finished. Make sure to block your scarf when you’re finished so that it lies flat.
This pattern can easily be adjusted to use worsted weight yarn! You will need a smaller needle size to match the gauge listed, or you can keep the needles listed to make it slightly wider and longer.
Pattern:
CO 33 stitches
R1: K33
R2: P33
R3: K3 *k2tog, K2, YO, K1, YO, K2, skp* x3, K3
R4: P33
R5: K3, *K1, k2tog, YO, K3, YO, skp, K1* x3, K3
R6: P33
Repeat R1 -6 until your scarf is your preferred length (see suggested measurements for scarves of various lengths!)
R343: K33
R344: P33
